Photos of the house as it's being built
- Foundation: Basement walls are set in place
This customized concrete wall system by Superior Walls swings into place and is set precisely to the surveyor's pins. (Try saying that three times quickly.)
- Basement slab is poured
Beginning early in the morning - and with the help of LB, an 8-month old golden lab - concrete for the basement floor is pumped into place. By late afternoon, an exhausted LB naps on the warm curing slab.
- Framing of the floors, walls and roof
The framers make good progress installing the floor systems, framing the walls, and building the roof and stair well.
- Framing finished, rough-ins to begin
The property is becoming a magical place. The views, facing south and west, are spectacular. This is shaping into a true estate property.
- Detached garage framing complete
The apartment/office over the garage is spacious and has lots of light and wonderful views.
- Electrical rough-in and insulation complete
The house is now wired for electricity, home-networking, cable and satellite TV, a security system, optional central vac, and a cell phone booster antenna. Also, the insulation for the walls meets Energy Star certification.
- Interior finishes begin
The walls have been sheetrocked, hardwood flooring has been installed, the interior trim has been done and the cabinets are installed. It's starting to feel like home.
- Finishing inside and out
The first coat of paint is on and drywall touch-ups have been done. Dirt will be delivered soon for the patio and final grading will begin. The home is shaping up beatutifully.

Rosemary's stunning array of colors, textures, hardware and finishes conspire to make this house a warm and inviting home.
