A Work in Progress:
Photos of the house as it's being built
- Foundation: Basement walls are set in place
This customized concrete wall system by Superior Walls was set precisely to the surveyor's pins. This basement will provide an optional 2200+ square feet of finished area.
- Basement slab: Monolithic slab is poured and finished
As autumn sets in, concrete is poured for the basement. The slab is over 4 inches thick, and even thicker in areas that will carry load. On the outside edges the concrete is "turned down": it's poured 2 feet deep and connected with steel rebar to the footings below.
- Framing: A January snow highlights framing details
Framing for the first floor, second floor and roof is complete. Once the felt and roof sheathing materials are applied, windows and doors will be set and rough-ins for plumbing, heating and air, and electrical will begin.
- Windows, Doors and Roofing
Andersen windows have been installed throughout, and the roofing begins to character to the home. The rough-in of plumbing, heating and air, and electrical are underway.
- Siding installed and rough-ins completed
The siding has been installed and has given this home a great new look. The rough-ins for the plumbing, electrical and heating & air have been completed and passed inspection. Next comes the insulation and then sheetrock. And a few coats of paint!
