New Day is one of a family of companies that has been in the building industry for four generations. Our commitment to quality is reflected not only in the details of our finely crafted homes, but in the satisfaction of the families who live in them.
In addition to creating the best environment for you, New Day also pays particular attention to the environment outside. We help to design each home to accommodate its setting, taking full advantage of the views while preserving as much of the natural landscape as possible.
Our homes are Energy Star® rated and we are a Green Building Initiative builder. Our homes save their owners thousands of dollars over the life of their mortgage. During construction, materials and techniques are used to reduce the home's impact on the environment, creating healthy comfort and long-term savings.
We're particularly proud of giving customers an experience of owning a home that exceeds their expectations. From the planning stages to touch-ups after moving in, we think of you, your home and your environment.
Who we are:
Ian Huckabee, the president and founder of New Day Builders, is a licensed contractor and has been building in Pinehurst and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, since 2001. Having spent his summers growing up working in his family's building supply business - in the days when plywood was carried off a truck one sheet at a time - Ian felt early on that building with materials sure beat hauling them. Prior to returning to North Carolina, Ian was VP of audio operations and marketing for Sony Music in New York.
Rosemary Holland takes care of all interiors and finishes for New Day's homes. Currently the director of artistic affairs for UNC's Carolina Performing Arts and formerly Director of A&R for Sony Classical in New York, Rosemary adds her style and taste to each New Day project, helping turn houses into homes.
