Design features

A well-designed home reflects the lifestyle of the people who will live in it and an appreciation for the land it rests on.

New Day pays particular attention to the relationship between the house and its setting, giving careful consideration to the interaction between the family living in the home and the outdoor areas around it.

Each New Day floor plan is created to allow easy movement within the home. Rooms are thoughtfully arranged in relation to one another, and consideration is given to traffic patterns and furniture placement.

Finishing touches

The finishing details of a New Day home are exquisite and well-executed.They include:varying ceiling heights; original molding combinations; beautiful arches; tray and coffered ceilings; custom-designed cabinets and bookshelves; granite, quartz and other hard-surface countertops; beautiful hardwoods; structured wiring and Wi-Fi capability; security system; gourmet kitchen appliances and more.

With extras like heated tile floors in the master bathroom, a New Day home embodies the individual style of its owners.

Construction features

New Day homes are built well beyond engineering and building code requirements. Extra bracing goes between the studs in every wall, roof systems are over-braced for wind and load support, and heavier plywood is used on the roof to provide a sturdier roof over time.

Extra sound-proofing insulation is added to areas such as bathrooms and the laundry room.

New Day's electrical plans include extra receptacles and extra lighting for convenience. Also, additional wiring is installed in anticipation of walkway, driveway and landscape lighting needs.

Home technologies

On the technology side, much of what goes into a New Day home is never seen. For more about the technologies at work behind the walls, see our Technology page.
