"It should be easy to use."
Homes today can be filled with technologies that have been developed to make our lives easier. Trouble is, many of these technologies are annoyingly difficult to operate, making things at home anything but easier. Which is why New Day has created HomeConnect, a simple-to-use collection of integrated home technologies that perform according to the homeowner's lifestyle. Required training: memorizing a security code.
HomeConnect provides convenience features that make the home think like you do. It starts with the security system and the conveniently located keypads. Each member of the family has his or her own security code. A code can even be given to the house keeper or the babysitter whose access can be limited to certain days of the week or certain hours of the day. With the security code, the alarm system can be turned on and off, or set to night mode while the family sleeps. But it can do so much more.
Never walk into a dark house again.
With the home automation option, the lights in your home can be programmed to come on whenever you like. You can arrive home at night to find your house already lit, inside and out.
And each family member's security code can be programmed for different settings. For example, when Mom arrives home after dark and enters her code, the hallway light comes on, as well as the kitchen and master bedroom lights. But if Dad gets home first and enters his code, the lights in the study come on. Lights can be programmed to cycle on and off while the family is away on vacation, adding and extra layer of security.
Built-in convenience
In addition to lighting, other systems in the home can also be automated, like home entertainment equipment, the heating and air conditioning units, drapes, pool pumps, ceiling fans and more. You can even call from your car or your office to turn on the lights or change the thermostat. It's easy.
The best part: all of the programming will be done for you by the same professionals who install the system.

Internet access and networking
New Day provides highspeed Internet wiring throughout the home and readies the home for wireless Internet access as well. The home owner can connect to the Internet in all bedrooms, the kitchen, the family room, and even on the covered porch. An Internet connection is installed next to the cable television jack in the family room for web-ready home entertainment technologies.
(A fully licensed security company will handle all security and fire monitoring for the home should the homeowner decide to sign up for monitoring services.)
